OSSSC Nursing Officer Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for the OSSSC Nursing Officer recruitment is meticulously designed to identify the most suitable candidates. It involves several key stages:

  1. Written Test: Candidates will first appear for an MCQ-based written test, carrying 100 marks. This will be conducted in OMR/CBRE mode.
  2. Provisional Merit List: Based on the normalized scores from the written test, a provisional master merit list will be prepared. Candidates achieving the minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for the next stage.
  3. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates, in a ratio of at least 1.25 times the number of vacancies (category-wise), will be called for document verification. Original documents will be scrutinized by the District Level Board. Missing this stage will lead to direct cancellation of candidature.
  4. Provisional Select List: After successful document verification, a final provisional select list will be drawn for each district, matching the number of advertised vacancies per category. District allocation will strictly consider merit, availability, and the candidate’s preferences.
  5. Physical Counselling (Optional): The Commission may, if necessary, conduct physical counselling for shortlisted candidates to finalize district allocation based on merit-cum-choice.

Important tie-breaking rules are in place, including lesser wrong attempts in the written test, higher professional qualification marks, age seniority, and higher secondary marks.
