MCL Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
To be eligible for these exciting roles at MCL, candidates must meet the following age criteria as of 28th May 2026:
Minimum Age: 18 years
Upper Age Limit for General (UR) & EWS Categories: 30 years
Maximum Age for Departmental Candidates (CIL & its subsidiaries): No upper age limit.
Age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories as per Government of India norms:
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
SC/ST: 5 years
Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Actual period of service rendered in defense services + 3 years

Educational Qualification
MCL is looking for bright minds with specific educational backgrounds for these roles:
For Assistant Foreman (Electrical) (Trainee), T&S Gr-C (E&M): You need to have either a Diploma in Electrical Engineering (a minimum 3-year course approved by AICTE) OR a Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (approved by AICTE).
For Technician (Electrician) (Trainee), Cat-III (E&M):
You must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from any recognized Board.
Hold an ITI (2-year course) in Electrician Trade with a Trade certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Possess a minimum of 1 year of training/on-the-job training/on-the-job practical experience.
Crucially, you need an LT permit under IE rules for Mines or a 440-550 Volts mining parts permit issued by a Competent Authority.
