JKSSB Warder Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection journey for the JKSSB Warder position is comprehensive, designed to find the most suitable candidates. It involves several key stages:
Written Examination: This will be an OMR-based test with objective multiple-choice questions in English. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. This stage is crucial for shortlisting candidates for subsequent rounds.
Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates who clear the written exam will undergo a PST to check if they meet the mandatory physical measurements. For male candidates, this includes a minimum height of 5 ft 6 in and a chest measurement of 32–33.5 inches. Female candidates need a minimum height of 5 ft 2 in and must be physically fit.
Physical Endurance Test (PET): This stage assesses your physical fitness and stamina. Male candidates will need to complete a 1600 Meter Race in 6 minutes 30 seconds and perform 20 Push-ups. Female candidates will face a 1000 Meter Race in 6 minutes 30 seconds and a Shot Put (4 Kg) throw of 14.5 Feet (in 3 attempts).
Document Verification (DV): After clearing the physical tests, your submitted documents and testimonials will be thoroughly verified.
Medical Examination: The final stage involves a medical examination to ensure you are fit for the duties of a Warder.
Each physical stage (PST & PET) is qualifying in nature, meaning you must pass it to move forward, while the written examination will contribute to the merit list.
