The age criteria for IISc Recruitment 2026 vary by post as of 10th July 2026 (the last date of application receipt):
Teaching Assistant: Maximum 30 years.
Instructor (most posts): Maximum 35 years.
Project Scientist I & System Administrator: Maximum 38 years.
Age relaxation for reserved categories will apply as per Government of India norms.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a relevant Degree or Diploma for their chosen role. Requirements differ for each specialized position (e.g., Physics, Humanities, Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, etc.). IISc Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
IISc’s selection process is designed to find top talent. Here’s what to expect:
For Instructor, Project Scientist I, & System Administrator: Selection is primarily via an Interview. A written test may be conducted if deemed necessary by the Institute.
For Teaching Assistant: The process begins with a Written Test, followed by an Interview for shortlisted candidates. The list for the test will be published on the IISc website.
Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply, and no TA/DA will be provided for attending the test or interview.
