Educational Qualification:
A bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized Indian university (formed or incorporated by or under a Central or State Act) or an institute recognized by the Government of Assam or the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Age Limit:
The maximum age is 45 years, which is reduced by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities and Ex-Servicemen. For the Unreserved category, the maximum age is 50 years, which is reduced by 3 years for OBC/MOBG candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

- Public Prosecutor – Rs. 65,000 – 1,12,000/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 18,500 + 30% Special Allowance for Basic Pay and additional allowances as applicable.
- Additional Public Prosecutor / Assistant Public Prosecutor – Rs. 30,000 – 1,10,000+ Grade Pay of Rs. 16,900 to Rs. 17,500 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and additional allowances as applicable.
