CSIR-NPL Technician Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for the Technician (1) posts at CSIR-NPL is a carefully designed multi-stage procedure to ensure the most suitable candidates are chosen:
Application Screening: Initially, a Screening Committee will review all submitted hard copy applications to ensure they meet the basic eligibility criteria. Only shortlisted candidates will proceed.
Trade Test (Qualifying): Candidates who are successfully screened will be invited for a Trade Test specific to their chosen discipline. This stage is qualifying in nature, meaning you must pass it to move forward, but the marks will not count towards the final merit.
Competitive Written Examination: Those who qualify the Trade Test will then sit for a Competitive Written Examination. This will be an Objective Type MCQ exam, likely OMR or computer-based, lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes, and will comprise three papers:
Paper-I: Mental Ability Test (Qualifying, no negative marking)
