Candidates interested in the IOCL Apprentice roles must meet the following age criteria as of 31st December 2025:
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years
Relaxations in the upper age limit are applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories, as per Government of India norms:
SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: 3 Years
PwBD Candidates: 10 Years (further extended for SC/ST/OBC PwBD candidates as per rules).
Educational Qualification
Applicants must possess the following qualifications, specific to their chosen apprenticeship category:
Trade Apprentice (ITI Holders): Matriculation (10th pass) plus a 2-Year ITI course (NCVT/SCVT recognized) in Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, or Machinist.
Technician Apprentice (Diploma Holders): A 3-Year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, or Electronics Engineering, with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Graduate Apprentice: A full-time Graduate Degree (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Trade Apprentice (Data Entry Operator): Class 12th Pass (non-graduates) or Class 12th Pass with a Skill Certificate in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ (training less than one year).

IOCL Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection for IOCL Apprentice roles typically involves these steps:
Merit-based Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their academic qualifications and application details.
Written Test (if applicable): A written test might be conducted for certain posts. Refer to the official notification for details.
Document Verification & Interview: Shortlisted candidates undergo document verification and/or a personal interview to confirm eligibility and suitability.
Final selection depends on overall performance and meeting all criteria.
Diploma & Graduate Candidates: Register on the NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in.
Step 2: IOCL Application & Microsoft Form:
