Candidates must meet the following age criteria as of 01 January 2027:
Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years. This means you must have been born between 02 January 2003 and 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years. This means you must have been born between 02 January 2001 and 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Age relaxation for candidates with a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is applicable as per official rules.
Educational Qualification
The educational requirements differ for each branch:
Flying Branch: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics. Additionally, they must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline with 60% marks or a BE/B.Tech degree with 60% marks.
Ground Duty (Technical): Candidates must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics, along with a four-year degree in a relevant engineering/technology field with at least 60% marks.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical): A Graduation degree with a minimum of 60% marks is required. Specific educational backgrounds may be needed depending on the sub-branch (e.g., Accounts, Education).

Indian Air Force AFCAT Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
The selection of candidates is a rigorous, multi-stage process designed to find the best talent. The stages include:
Online Written Examination (AFCAT): Candidates will first appear for the AFCAT online test to assess their general aptitude and knowledge.
