Indian Air Force AFCAT 01/2026 Recruitment 2025 Age Limit

To be eligible, candidates must meet the age criteria as of 01 January 2027. Below are the specific age limits for each branch:

  • Flying Branch: Candidates must be between 20 to 24 years old. (Born between 02 Jan 2003 and 01 Jan 2007).
  • Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): Candidates must be between 20 to 26 years old. (Born between 02 Jan 2001 and 01 Jan 2007).

Note: Candidates holding a valid Commercial Pilot License will have an upper age limit relaxation up to 26 years for the Flying Branch.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill the specific educational requirements for the branch they are applying to:

  • Flying Branch: Must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in both Maths and Physics. Additionally, a Graduation degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks is required.
  • Ground Duty (Technical): Must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in both Maths and Physics, along with a four-year degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) with at least 60% marks.
  • Ground Duty (Non-Technical): A Graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks is required.
  • NCC Special Entry (Flying): Candidates must have an NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate and meet the educational criteria of the Flying Branch.
