KEA SWRT Teacher Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Selection for the KEA SWRT Teacher posts will be based solely on a competitive written examination. This exam may be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Offline-OMR, with details provided on admit cards.

The examination structure includes two papers, each 100 marks and 2 hours duration:

  • Paper-1: General Knowledge (covering current affairs, Indian Constitution, Karnataka history/geography, rural development, economy, environmental issues).
  • Paper-2: General Kannada, General English, and Computer Knowledge.

Candidates must score a minimum of 35% to qualify. There is negative marking (0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer). A separate qualifying Kannada Language Test (150 marks, 50 pass) is required for those who haven’t studied Kannada up to SSLC level; these marks are not counted for final merit.
