The selection process for SBC Group C Recruitment 2026 is designed to identify the most suitable candidates through a structured multi-stage evaluation:
Computer Based Test (CBT): All eligible applicants, regardless of the post, will first appear for an online Computer Based Test. This exam will be 120 minutes long and consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, which will be bilingual (Hindi/English), except for the General English section.
Endurance/Skill Test:
For Construction Assistant ‘A’ and Construction Handler posts, there will be no Endurance/Skill Test.
For Fire Engine Driver (OG) posts, candidates shortlisted from the CBT (in a 1:15 ratio) will undergo an Endurance Test (including tasks like sand & water bucket carry, squats, push-ups, sit-ups), followed by a Skill Test (which includes a driving test, vehicle mechanism knowledge, and firefighting awareness).
For Civilian Motor Transport Driver (OG) posts, shortlisted candidates will only undergo a Skill Test (covering a driving test and vehicle mechanism knowledge).
Please note that both the Endurance and Skill Tests are qualifying in nature.
Final Merit List: The final selection will be based solely on the marks obtained in the Computer Based Test, provided candidates have successfully qualified the Endurance/Skill Test where applicable.
Document Verification & Medical Examination: Candidates who are provisionally selected will then undergo a thorough verification of their documents and a medical examination before receiving a final appointment offer.
